Travel deals are usually advertised with bigger discounts, louder offers, and more urgency. We took a different route.


Because when a deal is genuinely good, people don't look for reasons to go. They look for excuses to leave.


So we built a campaign around India's oldest travel ritual: making up reasons. Across a series of films featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Rakesh Bedi and Jaideep Ahlawat, every crisis turned out to be a ridiculously elaborate excuse to grab a MakeMyTrip deal before it disappeared.


The films struck a chord because they tapped into a truth every traveller recognizes. We've all invented reasons to extend a trip, take an impromptu break, or disappear for a long weekend.


What started as a campaign became a cultural observation: when the deal is good enough, the destination isn't the only thing calling you.
